FAMILY PROMISE OF HAWAII SELECTED FOR OFFICE MAKEOVER
Honolulu, HI – In celebration of National Get Organized MonthSM, the members of Hawaii Association of Professional Organizers (HAPO, Inc.) selected Family Promise of Hawaii to receive an office makeover. "Our members feel that they can contribute to the community by donating their time and organizing services to an organization that serves the community," says HAPO’s president, Karen Simon. Family Promise of Hawaii helps homeless families with children to escape homelessness by providing them with resources to help them transition to sustainable independence.
On April 2, 2010, a team of professional organizers will spend one day working with program coordinator, Christy MacPherson, and her staff to purge, declutter, and organize Family Promise of Hawaii’s office areas, donation storage areas, and files. The result will be an organized, efficient office that will benefit both the staff and the families they serve.
Participating partners who have donated organizing products and services include: Franklin Covey, the global leader in effectiveness training, productivity tools, and assessment services (www.franklinplanner.com); Esselte Corporation, the world's leading office supplies manufacturer with brands such as Oxford and Pendaflex (www.esselte.com); Smead Corporation, a world-leading provider of solutions for efficient document management (www.smead.com); Shred-It, with more than 140 branches, serving over 150,000 clients on 5 continents (www.shredit.com); 1-800-Got-Junk?, the world’s largest junk removal service (www.1800gotjunk.com).
Get Organized MonthSM, sponsored by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), is a national industry-wide event aimed at raising awareness of the benefits of getting organized and hiring a professional organizer. Whether an individual, business, or organization, everyone can benefit from the increased order, decreased stress, and greater effectiveness that results from getting organized and working with professional organizers.
